Full Mouth Reconstruction in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills

Full mouth reconstruction is the use of many methods of dentistry to create the correct relationship between gums, bones, muscles, and teeth. The mouth is a complex machine; without a proper bite, chewing can become impaired, teeth can become worn, the jaw and neck can become sore, and even migraines can occur. Dental bonding, porcelain veneers and crowns, dental implants, and teeth whitening are all potential procedures used in a full mouth reconstruction. The result is a perfect smile!

Crowded teeth, poor dental care and the age of your teeth – all can contribute to this condition. When your teeth are out of ideal alignment, enormously destructive forces begin to attack teeth. Every time your jaw closes, the damage continues. Tooth breakage and pain of the jaw, neck and head often ensue. In addressing and correcting these problems, not only do patients find relief, improved function and better oral health, but they also are delighted to achieve a beautiful smile line and more youthful appearance.

With full-mouth reconstruction the entire mouth is beautified with a more comfortable bite and less tension in the jaw and neck.

If you have worn, broken, decayed or missing teeth, or if you suffer from a bad bite and if the appearance of your entire smile is keeping you down, then you have a great dentist… Dr. Anthony Mobasser. With Dr. Anthony’s advanced studies and expert training in full-mouth reconstruction dentistry, he has become a renowned doctor worldwide. In Dr. Anthony Mobasser’s Beverly Hills practice, we take utmost care to add comfort in the procedure by using advanced instruments and sterilization techniques. In his diagnosis, he first determines if your bite is significantly contributing to your symptoms. He can create a provisional new bite for you that will alleviate your symptoms and also make you feel comfortable. Dr. Mobasser believes, it is important for you to be comfortable with the new bite before a financial commitment is made to receive Full-Mouth Reconstruction. If Dr. Mobasser’s assessment indicates that your symptoms of jaw pain, neck pain and/or headaches can be improved with corrective bite (occlusal) treatment, he prefers to stimulate the corrected-bite orthodontics first. Once patients experience significant relief from symptoms and obtain the desired results, then Dr Mobasser recommends Full-Mouth Reconstruction to sustain the optimal bite permanently.

An example of extreme smile makeover and dental cosmetic lift, patient presented with a challenging cosmetic problem (not having the left central incisor). Dr. Mobasser had to use Leonardo Da Vinci’s Principle of Proportion to create a front tooth from the lateral incisor and turn the canine into a lateral. He also used the premolar tooth as a canine as well. The patient’s midline was also corrected due to lack of central incisor. Also, please pay attention to the crowded lower teeth in which was fixed via raising the bite and straightening them with porcelain veneers.

A full mouth reconstruction and smile makeover was performed while the patient was sedated. The patient’s left front tooth was loose, after extraction, and Dr. Mobasser used patient’s lateral to turn to central, his canine to lateral and his premolar to canine to create a beautiful smile. Leonardo Da Vinci’s golden rule of proportion was implemented to make the right and left side symmetrical. Gum treatment and grafting was done in combination with porcelain veneers to produce the final outcome.

Profile appearance of a smile is just as important as the direct, head-on shot. Many patients show 8 to 12 teeth (as opposed to just 4-6 of the front teeth), and all the teeth need to complement one another, in both color, shape, and proportion. This patient had completed a full mouth reconstruction, and this dramatically changed her self esteem and restored full confidence. Leondardo Da Vinci’s principles of proportion were utilized in the smile redesign.
