Beverly Hills Cosmetic Dentist
Dr. Anthony Mobasser

“I have served the Beverly Hills area as a cosmetic dentist since 1980. Since that time, my primary intention is to keep my patient’s teeth for the rest of their lives first, and then enhance and beautify their existing smile.

Being a cosmetic dentist in Beverly Hills is unlike being a cosmetic dentist anywhere else in the world. With so many movies stars, moguls, and media personalities, you have to be at the top of your game. That’s why I pride myself on my practice’s world-class .service

At Celebrity Dentist, you receive the best in optimum dental health , artistic, aesthetically pleasing cosmetic dentistry. Here I am sharing a little insight regarding drugs and medications that you might be taking ,that can affect your teeth, gums, and the treatment you want to get done.

Studies show that two out of every five adults take some type of medication that could have dental related side effects. Depending on  your  age, this chance can be  doubled.
In addition to prescribed and over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, minerals, and herbal supplements can also cause oral health issues .The side effects can range from dry mouth  (causing cavities or tooth decay ) to inflamed gum (gingivitis ) to taste altercations and possibly bone loss (periodontal disease).

Some of the most common side effects from medications that affect oral health include:

.Dry Mouth , in which can lead to bad breath , or HALITOSIS

.Abnormal Bleeding

.Altered Taste

.Inflammation, Mouth Sores, or Discoloration of the soft tissues in your mouth

.Enlarged Gums

.Cavities

.Teeth and Gum color changes (stains),

Some drugs can cause intrinsic stains of teeth, meaning ,teeth whitening products  can not alter the color any more, and you might need dental veneers or porcelain veneers to mask the discoloration.

It is best to have the COSMETIC DENTIST , or DENTIST ,to be in communication with your physician and you ,in order to provide optimal health care. It is of utmost importance that you do fill the health questionaire properly, and know your medication and dosages.

Mother’s Gum Disease is Linked To Stillborn Death

Posted in Cosmetic Dentist, Cosmetic Dentist Los Angeles, Dentist, Gum Disease, Los Angeles, Los Angeles Cosmetic Dentist, gingivitis, priodontal disease on April 23rd, 2010 by admin

There is a direct link between preterm labor and gum disease (Periodontal Disease) in pregnant woman.A study showed  that oral bacteria associated with a mother’s periodontal disease was connected to the death of fetus.

the pregnant mother had experienced exessive bleeding of the gums (in which 75% ofpregnant woman experience due to hormonal changes) which allowed  a bacteria (fusobacterium nucleatum) to travel from the mouth in to her blood stream and eventually into placenta.Post-mortem the same bacteria was found in the baby’s lungs, and stomach, and the final report stated thatdeath was due to a septic infection and the inflammation caused by that bacteria!!

The testing strongly suggested that the bacteria were delivered through the blood!!!

As  a dentist in los angeles ,i am encouaging women who are pregnant,or wish to become pregnant ,to maintain great oral hygiene, and visit their dentist and report any excessve gum bleeding immediately.

As a cosmetic dentist a word of advice : do your yearly full mouth evaluation ,including periodontal charting, and possibly xrays to avoid unwanted problems,!there has been proven link between  untreated gum disease or periodontal disease ,with systemic conditions ,related to the heart and lungs among others.
