How to do Facial Rejuvenation Dentistry?

Posted in Aesthetic Dentist, color of teeth, Cosmetic Dentist, Cosmetic Dentist Los Angeles, Dentist, Porcelain Veneers, smile makeover lift on March 19th, 2011 by admin

Facial rejuvenation dentistry, or Smile Lift in Beverly Hills Cosmetic Dentistry deals with anti-aging techniques to utilize teeth reconstruction to plump up the lips or cheeks. Smile lift or FACIAL REJUVENATION DENTISTRY in the field of cosmetic dentistry is a term used by cosmetic dentist, in which  via cosmetic dental procedures can also be an augment to many plastic surgery techniques. This method has been used via  cosmetic dentist to  increase the facial volume, as a key to look younger.

Now the answer to look younger , and staying youthful can lie with your teeth shape , form and appearance. Applying Dental Veneers to upper and lower teeth, can plump up the lips , and cover the black corridor in the cheek area, and restore facial volume. The cosmetic Dentist also needs to measure the upper and lower teeth to see if enough teeth are showing at the rest position. Usually ages of 35 and up , one to one and half millimeter edge of the tooth should be showing at rest position, and evaluation of the sound “E” should be done to evaluate harmony and balance between teeth and the lip curvature. The lower teeth will be evaluated via length and width ratio in accordance to gum symmetry , and how much gums shows , since the lip drops due to gravity after age of 35.

After complete evaluation and bite analysis before the procedure, the cosmetic dentist must evaluate if there is room to lengthen the upper teeth or lower teeth, and if there is no room, THE AESTHETIC DENTIST , must utilize the back teeth to open the bite ,or increase the bite since 1 mm porcelain added to the back teeth translate to 3 mm in front teeth., and adding the height and tweeking the color to a Natural white color instantly takes years off your face. Of course in the hand of skilled cosmetic dentist the porcelain veneers are sculpted individually to flatter your face and bring your best face features out.

If you are considering cosmetic dentistry procedure or ” smile lift” effect your teeth and smile in dentistry , any where in the world you can visit  Dr Anthony Mobasser, cosmetic dentist in los angeles california  for a  full cosmetic dental evaluation  at 310-550-0383

Small changes in your smile make a huge difference on how a person feels. It could be just as little as teeth whitening or cosmetic contouring of your smile to smile makeover and full mouth restoration. Cosmetic Dentist Solutions and suggestions

Posted in Before & After Pictures, Beverly Hills, Cosmetic Dentistry, Dental Veneers, Dentist, face beautification, Full Mouth Reconstruction, full mouth restoration dentist, porcelain crowns, Porcelain Veneers on November 5th, 2010 by admin

Dr Anthony Mobasser, Celebrity Dentist in Beverly Hills talks about perfect smilesIf you are between ages of 40 to 60 years old, chances are that the enamel of your teeth are weakening and you are looking for cosmetic dentist solutions and suggestion. You might be experiencing  gum recessions, root exposures in conjunction with sensitivity, stains are becoming harder to remove in conjunction with altered bite and possibly bite collapse, in which your teeth are shifting.
Worn out Enamel :Over time, your teeth enamel can wear down, due to parafunctional habits such as bruxing, grinding, chewing on ice, bad bite, or the acid produced by bacteria utilizing left over foods left on the teeth. The result will be dull looking teeth, and teeth can crack ,and reveal microfractures. You can transform the appearance with VENEERS, or PORCELAIN VENEERS, or DENTAL VENEERS.

VENEERS (porcelain veneers), in essence are the new outer layer after many years of function, they will disguise your worn teeth, and can give you a cosmetic lift.In the hands of top cosmetic dentist they are virtually UNDETECTABLE.Dental veneers can chip due to traumatic force, but the advantage is that your precious teeth are protected by the veneer. After a complete bite analysis, cosmetic dentist might recommend you a night guard as an added insurance to prevent cracks on the porcelain veneers while sleeping. You really should treat the porcelain veneers just like your own teeth , and prevent using them as a tool to chew ice, or trim finger nails.Look at before and after pictures of veneers.

Dark Stains and Discolorations : Years of function, wear and tear, usually thins out your enamel (the outer layer of your teeth),so the next layer which is YOUR DARK COLORED DENTIN ,fills in ,revealing yellowish brownish teeth, this in combination of extrinsic stains from coffee, tea, and food additives ,add many unwanted years to your teeth.Solution will be teeth whitening.,however if your dark stains are intrinsic in nature, (tetracycline stains, flourosis,or deeop white spots, meaning hypocalcification) bleaching teeth will not help, and you can only mask it with PORCELAIN CROWNS or veneers.

Teeth whitening or Bleaching,in office or in combination with custom trays, can boost your smile, however they are a quick fix, depending on your habits, and the thickness of the enamel remaining. You must be extremely careful to have a thorough check up if  you do have any gum recessions, abfractions, sensitive roots, or defective fillings prior to perform teeth whitening bleaching procedures , to avoid discomfort and further harmful complications.

Worn out teeth,Bad Bite, It is possible that your teeth are shifted, and due to worn out enamel , your once balanced bite is going thru breakdowns and interferences. example your eye teeth are worn, or the edges of your teeth are getting more translucent , weaker, therefore having rough edges, and cracking. The solution is to have complete bite analysis, and a comprehensive exam via cosmetic dentist performing multiple cosmetic dentistry procedures to advise you in regards to your bite prior to starting smile makeover lift.

Full mouth restoration, or full mouth reconstruction : is one way to help your bite, and restore the balance , and avoid further trauma to your teeth in conjunction with beautifying your teeth and matching your teeth to your lips, skin color and your face. Full mouth restoration dentist will go over your needs and should give you options as to how you can achieve your  dental enhancement goals, and provide you with proper options.look at before and after pictures of full mouth restoration.

Perfect Smile Solutions & Prices, for People in their 30s

Posted in Before & After Pictures, Beverly Hills, celebrity dentist, Cosmetic Dentist, Cosmetic Dentistry, Dental Bonding, Dentist, Los Angeles, Porcelain Inlays & Onlays, White Filling on October 25th, 2010 by admin

If you are at your thirties, minor adjustments to your teeth and smile  might be all you needing , to have that perfect, spectacular smile.

Chances are that you still might be having those silver, or mercury fillings from your teens, a simple solution would be to replace them with tooth colored fillings. If they are small replace it with white fillings, and if large replace them with porcelain inlays /onlays. Porcelain inlays and onlays generally leak less , they last you much longer than white fillings, and with stand the forces of your bite better.

Price of white fillings ranges between $550-$1000 per tooth, and prices for porcelain inlays/onlays range from $2000-$3500 per tooth.

If you do have minor overcrowding of your teeth, a quick fix , can be Cosmetic Contouring by a Cosmetic Dentist, this subtle shaping procedure , is usually recommended for slightly uneven or longer teeth, and can usually be accomplished in one visit.

The price for dental cosmetic contouring, or cosmetic contouring of smile line procedure ranges from $100-$400 per tooth, up to $4500 -$5000  for the entire Smile.

If you do have minor gaps, chipped,  decayed,  broken tooth, or tooth sensitivity at the roots (near your gums), you might consider Dental Bonding , or Tooth Bonding, to fix your problem. Dental bonding is instantly, and is a one visit procedure.

The price for Dental bonding ranges from $750- $2000 per tooth depending on the severity and what your bite or xrays shows.

I recommend a comprehesive examination, and evaluation with your cosmetic dentist , to gather necessary information needed.Usually cosmetic dentist needs complete xrays, impressions of your teeth (study models), bite analysis , intra oral photos of your teeth, and measurements of your gums and teeth , to come up with proper diagnosis and discuss different options of treatment for you.

The price for complete  dental evaluation can range from $750-$1500.

Dental problems if be prevented at an early age , saves you tremendous time, stress , and money  due to serious major treatment you could have avoided at your early age. I do recommend two to three cleaning yearly and check ups.

If you do have any questions, please do not hesitate to call 310-550-0383 for a one on one consultation with Dr. Anthony Mobasser .

Will teeth whitening make my teeth sensitive?

Posted in celebrity dentist, Cosmetic Dentist, dental cosmetics, Dentist, Gum Disease, smile, Teeth Whitening, White Smile on October 20th, 2010 by admin

CelebrityDentist

CelebrityDentist

I just answered that question in whanda, thought it might help others,

The question was:

WHY DO I HAVE TEETH SENSITIVITY AFTER TEETH WHITENING?

WHY DIDN’T  MY TEETH WHITENING LAST?

In my opinion, do not use over the counter whitening products , having said that you need to see a cosmetic dentist, to check if you do have any micro fractures, or micro cracks,? is there any recessions of gums or gingivae? if so you need to be tested re sensitivity!! or evaluate if you need dental bondings on the root area PRIOR to start your teeth  whitening!! is there any abfractions ?
also if there is internal or genetic discoloration ? if so whitening would not help much.
are your gum pockets in good shape? Is there any inflammation of gums, or gum disease prior to teeth whitening procedure?

and is there any leaking fillings in your mouth!
sometimes teeth whitening can cause more damage unfortunately , depending on the concentration of the bleach product.,, and does not help your wants at all !! also depending on your eating and drinking coffee , tea, red wine , etc …. ,you might be defeating the purpose of receiving your white smile.
First thing make an appouintment with a Cosmetic dentisit for a complete evaluation.
if you have any further questions, do not hesitate to call my office at 310-550-0383

Cosmetic and Reconstructive Dentist

Posted in Aesthetic Dentist, Aesthetic Dentistry, Before & After Pictures, Cosmetic Dentist, Cosmetic Dentist Los Angeles, Cosmetic Dentistry, Dental Veneers, Dentist, Esthetic Dentist, Esthetic Dentistry, Full Mouth Reconstruction, Los Angeles, smile, TMJ on October 18th, 2010 by admin

Reconstructive Dentist deals with bite dimension, and possibly altering the distance between the chin and nose. This alteration is done to:

1)Improve esthetics and cosmetic by altering facial form/or tooth and gum display.

2)To gain space for restoring short worn out teeth., by increasing the occlusal vertical dimension., meaning making the back teeth longer, consequently creating space to make the front teeth longer.

There are several areas of concern,

First being TMJ (temporol mandibular joint), the literature is clear that in most cases if TMJ was comfortable before the procedure , then the joint will be comfortable with the altered length. Also the lack of back bite can significantly increase the load on the joints.

Second concern is the EFFECTS ON SPEACH, particularly the S sound.Usually in one to four weeks patients will learn to reprogram their speech patterns to any alterations, The COSMETIC AND RECONSTRUCTIVE DENTIST ,evaluate this clinically by simply having the patient say “66″ or “77″,and see if the front teeth touch during the sound, if so,usually shortening the front upper or lower teeth is indicated.

The RECONSTRUCTIVE ,or FULL MOUTH DENTISTRY , requires and interim period of temporization and observation in conjunction with evaluation before the final cosmetic teeth are fabricated.FULL MOUTH RECONSTRUCTION as the name implies is to redo all your teeth ,and give them a healthy cosmetic lift.FULL MOUTH RESTORATION DENTISTRY, may need ,porcelain veneers, or dental veneers, porcelain crowns , or caps, possible periodontal surgery, or gum surgery, dental implants, porcelain inlays  onlays, or veneer overlays or onlays and possibly orthodontics.

Teeth whitening or invisalign alone can not accomplish full mouth reconstruction. You can look at FULL MOUTH RECONSTRUCTION BEFORE AND AFTER PICTURES , in www.celebritydentist.com

If you think you are a candidate for FULL MOUTH RECONSTRUCTION, or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office, or call 310-550-0383.

DENTAL EMERGENCIES TIPS

Posted in Aesthetic Dentistry, Cosmetic Dentist, Dental Bonding, dental cosmetics, Dentist, Full Mouth Reconstruction, Porcelain, Porcelain Inlays & Onlays, smile, TMD, TMJ on August 5th, 2010 by admin

Lets face it, accidents can happen, and especially when it comes to our teeth, SMILE and mouths, they can be pretty frightening. Being careful is good a prevention, but being prepared makes you confident about and possible oral health emergency. Its important to know when home care will suffice and when a trip to the dentist is necessary. If you are ever in the situation that makes you feel like you need to speak with your dentist, call the office, your dentist should provide a day to night time number. If you call during non-business hours, voicemail will give instructions about how to reach the on-call dentist. With that in mind, here are some guidlines to help you through common situations:

Toothache/Sore Gums: Rinse with warm water to remove any food or debris; if you notice anything lodged between teeth, floss to remove it. Take an over the counter pain medication (but never apply the medication directly to teeth or gum), see the dentist if the pain persists.

Chipped or Broken Tooth: Save the pieces, if you can, rinse them thoroughly. Apply an ice pack or cold compress to the swollen lip or gum tissue near the chipped tooth to prevent swelling. If the area is bleeding, apply gauze for ten minutes, or until the bleeding has stopped. Call your cosmetic dentist immediately. You can possibly have a dental bonding , porcelain inlay or porcelain onlay treatment done to salvage your tooth.

With recent advancements in full mouth dentistry and cosmetic dentistry, you might not lose your tooth. If there’s enough remaining healthy tooth structure, there are several treatment options that may eliminate the need for root removal. While the success of these procedures depends on the severity of the break, it’s worth asking about options other than complete removal. I highly recommend you contact your cosmetic dentist.

Knocked Out Tooth: Depending on the situation, find the tooth, make sure not to hold it by the root, and rinse it briefly with warm water. If possible, gently reinsert the tooth into the socket and bite down on gauze or cloth to keep it in place. If you cannot reinsert it, place it in a container of milk or mild salt water solution. Call your cosmetic dentist as soon as possible-if treated within 2 hours, the tooth may be salvaged.

Soft Tissue Injuries: Soft tissues such as gums, cheek, lips, and the tongue tend to bleed heavily, only because the tissue contains a great deal of blood flow. To control the bleeding, first rinse with warm, mild salt water solution. Apply pressure with gauze or a moistened towel for 15 to 20 minutes. Afterwards, to reduce swelling and help stop residual bleeding, apply a cold compress to the outside of your mouth. In the event of a serious soft tissue injury, in which the bleeding is profuse or the damage is visibly traumatic, its best to stay calm, keep applying pressure, and go to the emergency room.

TEETH WHITENING & TEETH BLEACHING PRODUCTS AND SAFETY

Los Angeles Cosmetic Dentist
“Los Angeles Cosmetic Dentistry is the finest, most advanced in the world. In a city with thousands of movie stars, moguls, sports heroes and a million TV cameras, nowhere is it more important to have a dazzling, bright, perfect smile.”Please contact Los Angeles cosmetic dentist Dr. Anthony Mobasser at 310.550.0383 or Anthony@celebritydentist.com if you would like to set up an appointment to improve your smile.

Tooth whitening products  are  available for home use to remove external stains by abrasion or by bleaching teeth. Their safety and effectiveness vary according to the type used.

Kits that contain abrasive agents can give you a white celebrity smile initially by removing surface stains, but they can be harmful over the long run because they accelerate the natural aging process, in which the enamel of teeth is slowly worn away to reveal the yellow dentin behind it, or can cause recessions on gums (meaning the roots will be exposed) and consequently cause TOOTH ABFRACTION on the roots of teeth concurrent with sensitivity to cold and air.

It is of utmost importance to have the abfraction checked by the COSMETIC DENTIST ,so the sensitivity be stopped. there is various treatment that can help further breakdown and abfraction of the roots, including but not limited to, DENTAL BONDING, or possibly DENTAL VENEERS or LUMINEERS.

iF YOU DO HAVE ANY EXISTING SENSIVITY ,I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT TO DO ANY TEETH WHITENING OR BLEACHING OF TEETH ,till all the  necessary treatment for the sensitivity is rendered.

Teeth bleaching or TOOTH WHITENING PRODUCTS,are usually carbomide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide derivitives, and of course with different concentration. In my opinion you should be screened for your gums, root sensitivity, any micro cracks, microleakage possibly from your fillings , or abfractions by a dentist before you put whitening and bleaching products in your mouth.

In summary I highly advise you to have a full check up and consultation with an EXPERT COSMETIC DENTIST, before you do any kind of teeth whitening, to avoid further damage to your precious teeth and smile.

DRUGS & MEDICATION CAN AFFECT DENTAL HEALTH

Beverly Hills Cosmetic Dentist
Dr. Anthony Mobasser

“I have served the Beverly Hills area as a cosmetic dentist since 1980. Since that time, my primary intention is to keep my patient’s teeth for the rest of their lives first, and then enhance and beautify their existing smile.

Being a cosmetic dentist in Beverly Hills is unlike being a cosmetic dentist anywhere else in the world. With so many movies stars, moguls, and media personalities, you have to be at the top of your game. That’s why I pride myself on my practice’s world-class .service

At Celebrity Dentist, you receive the best in optimum dental health , artistic, aesthetically pleasing cosmetic dentistry. Here I am sharing a little insight regarding drugs and medications that you might be taking ,that can affect your teeth, gums, and the treatment you want to get done.

Studies show that two out of every five adults take some type of medication that could have dental related side effects. Depending on your age, this chance can be doubled.
In addition to prescribed and over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, minerals, and herbal supplements can also cause oral health issues .The side effects can range from dry mouth (causing cavities or tooth decay ) to inflamed gum (gingivitis ) to taste altercations and possibly bone loss (periodontal disease).

Some of the most common side effects from medications that affect oral health include:

.Dry Mouth , in which can lead to bad breath , or HALITOSIS

.Abnormal Bleeding

.Altered Taste

.Inflammation, Mouth Sores, or Discoloration of the soft tissues in your mouth

.Enlarged Gums

.Cavities

.Teeth and Gum color changes (stains),

Some drugs can cause intrinsic stains of teeth, meaning ,teeth whitening products can not alter the color any more, and you might need dental veneers or porcelain veneers to mask the discoloration.

It is best to have the COSMETIC DENTIST , or DENTIST ,to be in communication with your physician and you ,in order to provide optimal health care. It is of utmost importance that you do fill the health questionaire properly, and know your medication and dosages.

Links between Gum Disease and Heart Disease in patients

Posted in Aesthetic Dentistry, Beverly Hills, Cosmetic Dentist, Cosmetic Dentist Los Angeles, Cosmetic Dentistry, Dentist, Gum Disease on July 28th, 2010 by admin

“Periodontitis or gum disease are caused when bacteria from plaque deposits on the teeth and bleeding gums invade tissue and penetrate beneath the gum-line….. the damaged tissue may become a gateway to the bloodstream, and eventually, the heart and other Systemic Organs.

Patient’s motivation to floss should be greater then ever!

For as long as you can remember, I have been telling you to remember to brush and floss twice a day and show up for your prevention care visits. Thanks to recent studies, your incentive should now be greater than ever. If you suffer from periodontitis (gum disease), or if you are at risk, you should know that research is beginning to show a strong correlation between periodontal disease and heart disease.
Gum disease has not been shown to directly cause heart disease; however, the connection is one that can no longer be ignored. As those who have periodontitis know, the condition is caused when bacteria from plaque deposits on the teeth invade tissue and penetrate beneath the gum-line. When the bacteria start to eat away at the tissue surrounding the teeth, the damaged tissue may become a gateway to the bloodstream, and eventually, the heart.
Imagine a wound of that size on the skin, and you can imagine the variety of bacteria that could be introduced into the bloodstream. The same thing can be happening in the mouths of patients with periodontal disease. The bacteria from the mouth can induce blood clotting, which is pivotal event in most heart attacks and strokes. One study states that “peple with severe periodontal disease had almost twice the risk of developing cardiac disease”.

A second study showed that tooth decay increased the risk for heart disease by one and a half. Further research shows that people who are diabetic are at a greater risk for developing heart disease if they too have periodontal disease. Gingivitis is the inflammation of the gums in which can lead to periodontal disease.

Also remember that bleeding gums or gum infection can be treated with various surgical or non surgical therapy options, and controlled with regular cleaning dental appointments and a proper home care routine of brushing and flossing.

please have your gums checked before commencing any cosmetic dental treatment, including but not limited to dental veneers, full mouth reconstruction, dental implants, or smile make over.

Make an appointment and come in to visit cosmetic dentist in los angeles, aka Dr. Anthony Mobasser, for his expert opinion and Smile Evaluation.

You deserve the best!!!
